Kuppso was dreamt up by two local coffee nerds from Leamington who genuinely love great coffee, and feel pretty lucky to live somewhere packed with brilliant independent coffee shops.
The problem?
Too many people still default to the big chains.
So we thought:
What if it was easier and more rewarding to choose independent?
a slightly
ridiculous idea...
It looks like we might be the first in the world to do this… which, in many ways, is a terrible idea.
No blueprint and no one to copy, just a lot of:
“Will people actually use this?”
“Will coffee shops be into it?”
“Are we completely mad?”
But that’s kind of the point, because if no one’s done it before, maybe it’s worth doing. And somehow, what started as a slightly ridiculous idea between two coffee nerds, is starting to look like something much bigger.
What started as a handful of local coffee shops giving our little idea a go has grown into:

Billions of Cups. One Planet.
Here’s the not-so-fun bit. In the UK, around 7 million takeaway coffee cups are thrown away every single day.
That’s 2.5 billion a year, enough to wrap around the Earth more than five times.
That is a horrific amount! We’re not saying we can fix it, but we do think we can do our bit.
That’s why every Kuppso subscriber gets a free reusable cup. Just a small switch that makes a real difference. Because if enough of us make that tiny change, it actually becomes a pretty big one.
